Dear residents of Crosswater and the Retreat at Crosswater,
Our annual homeowners’ meeting will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 2:30 PM at the Sammamish branch of the King County Library. The agenda for the meeting, pursuant to our bylaws, is as follows:
1. Roll call.
2. Proof of Notice of meeting or waiver of notice.
3. Reading of minutes of preceding meeting.
4. Reports of officers.
a. Treasurer’s Report.
5. Reports of committees.
a. Architectural Control Committee
6. Election of Directors.
a. Vote to expand the board from three to five members.
b. Election of new directors.
7. Unfinished business
8. New business
a. Update on lawsuit settlement.
b. Vote on disposition of $5000 reserved for investigation of a monument for the Retreat.
c. Selection of new treasurer
9. Adjournment.
We will vote on the following change to the bylaws to expand the membership of the board of directors:
Section 3, paragraph 1 to be amended as follows: “…composed of three (3) members…” to be changed to “…composed of five (5) members…”
This change was proposed at the August 10, 2006 meeting. If this proposed change is accepted, we will then proceed to the election of new board members, including the two new positions.
Thus far, only one person, Mark Zhou, has formally expressed an interest in serving on the board. Pursuant to Section 3, paragraph 2, sub-paragraph 2, “After the Transition Date, nomination for election to the Board shall be made by a nominating committee appointed by the board.” If you are interested in serving, please contact me as soon as possible, so that we can present your nomination at the annual meeting.
If you have any additional agenda items you would like to have included, please let me know by January 15.

Garbage collection did not happen this week. The driver indicated bad road conditions, even though the recycle truck managed to make it through. I called Rabanco, and they indicated that there will not be pickup this week. Next pickup will be next Wednesday, January 3 (a day late because of New Year's), and we will not be charged extra for doubled up garbage, since they failed to collect this week.
The annual homeowners meeting will take place on Saturday, January 27 from 2-5 PM at the Library. A formal meeting notice with agenda, the 2007 budget, and dues notice will be mailed within the next week. In addition to regular business, we will be voting to increase the membership of the board of directors from 3 to 5 members, and will be electing new board members, so if you cannot attend, please ensure that your proxy is delivered to the board.
